I know.

Try clearing your browser cache and history and perhaps flushing your DNS.

Nothing. Just click the link. Adding the "?gimme=mysitenow" should break through any cache on any servers between you and your own site. It doesn't do anything, really, other than tell the server that what you want is "special", not the same-old same-old it gave you last time.

You shouldn't have to do that for long. Server caches are normally set to expire at least daily. And if you're wondering why they do that at all, it's so that they can give the illusion of speed without actually having to make a request for the page at all (after the first time).

I don't know what else to tell you. I'm seeing the same "Index of /" page that descalzo is seeing, and the query string should have busted the cache anywhere it lives (locally or on a server in the path). The "Website does not exist" page is not coming from your hosting account, I assure you. You may just have to wait a while -- or you can try clearing your cache and history again (make sure you are NOT on your site in any instance of the browser -- other tabs or windows, any background processes, etc., or you'll just be putting the old entry back into the history).

I still can't see anything. I tried everything...

When you first tried looking at your site, your ISP got that "does not exist" page.

Now, it is too lazy/cheap to go out and check to see if the page has changed. So it gives you a copy of the old page.

Everybody else can see your site.

You have to wait for your ISP to decide to throw out the saved page and go out and get an updated page.

I just created another site and I could see it. Why can't I see the first one? Oh well. Can someone delete my first one?
