Thunderbird email client: POP working but need IMAP settings help.

I currently have the POP Mail Server working fine for my site, mail coming in and going out.

POP Mail Server
mail.myweb.com
PORT : 110
SMTP PORT : 587
Connection security: STARTTLS
Auth method : Normal password


I previously had IMAP working okay but now it is broken after new install of email client.
I keep getting time outs when attempting to retrieve emails from the server.

IMAP Mail Server
mail.myweb.com
PORT : 143 & 993 (tried them both)
SMTP PORT : 465 & 587 (tried them both)
Connection security: STARTTLS & SSL/TSS (tried them both)
Auth method : Normal password

Whare are the correct settings for IMAP?

have you tried the option to download outlook configuration ?
(its possible imap isnt supported) staff would need to let you know.

I don't get it. Aside from the "mail.myweb.com" thing, the rest seems to be correct.

IMAP is perfectly supported. I'm in X13 server. Dunno about the mate.

These are my IMAP settings:

+ Default or "undeletable" account:
· Server name: "x13.x10hosting.com"
· Username: "karrx10h" (username ONLY; without the "@" and the domain)
· Password: [DirectAdmin password]
· Port: 993
· Security: SSL/TLS
· Method: normal password

+ Secondary account:
· Server name: "mail.karr.x10host.com"
· Username: [an user name]@karr.x10host.com (important, username and domain)
· Password: [a password]
· Port: 993
· Security: SSL/TLS
· Method: normal password
