I've been unable to access my blog here for nearly a month now. Originally I got a message saying the site server was unavailable, which I figured was because of the moving. Recently, however, it's changed to "error connecting to database". I have wordpress installed for my blog and have updated it to the latest version. I can access my site via FTP but I can't figure out what's caused the connection failure. Is it MySQL? Did the hostname or other information change during the move? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I've looked at this. I can log into my cPanel so that isn't a problem. I'm not quite sure what it means to "add to remote host". Wordpress connection info is done on a .php file and I tried switching "localhost" with "int.fris.x10hosting.com" and "fris.x10hosting.com" to no effect.

No, change it back to localhost and go into the cPanel and find remote hosts.

Ugh, I take back what I said. I can login to my account on this website but not the CPanel. It keeps saying "Login Attempt Failed". :frown: guess that means I've having two issues with my site and it's been nearly a month. *sigh*

Making progress...

Okay, so I can finally log into my cPanel. I added the remote hosts and I can now view my site again (yay!). However, when I try to access the admin panel of my Wordpress account I get a 500 Internal Server Error. Any ideas how to fix that???

What are the permissions of that folder?

The wp-admin folder is at 777.

Ah yes! Thank you for mentioning the permissions. I looked in the error log and found that the 777 was the error. I changed the permissions to 755 and now my blog is fully working again. Thanks!
