Hello,

First problem solved, seems to relie on my computer.

Two'th problem.

I can send mail from my site. It comes in my provider's inbox. But my the pop3/smtp method (which I need to handle requests sended from the site) is a other story.

None of the webmails available work. If I set it up in outlook, both mail.sefits.org and lotus.x10hosting.com fails in sending email (SMTP) Right port and and authentication is given. Outlook can connect to the pop server, but there is no incoming mail.

When I send a mail from my standard provider mail account to my site mail, neither the mail comes in the inbox (outlook), neither I get a mail delivery failure.

Excuse me for my bad English, I am still a student.

I hope somebody can help me with this problems.

In Squirelmail, it works. Mails gets received, I can also send them. But there is a big latency (let's say a minute or 10). From the site, mails are incredebly slow. Mails via POP doesn't get received, so I can't use Outlook. The smtp server is a big failure also.

I don't want Google having all my mails for privacy reasons...

So I don't know why I doesn't exchange my mails via POP/IMAP...

I have heard that some ISPs might be blocking smtp port for other domains but their, meaning you can only send e-mails through your ISP's mail server with an e-mail client such as outlook. Not sure if this is the cause for not being able to send e-mails using our mail servers or not though. Noticed that absolut uses port 26, which is not the standard one, if lotus is too this seem unlikely.
Do you get any errors when trying to send e-mails?

As for pop3, if the client can connect the server it should be receiving the e-mails as well, so if it is not then it is truly odd.

The latency you are experiencing is likley due to the fact there's many users wanting to send e-mails resulting in a queue on the outgoing mail server.
