Does 'sourcedir' have a value? You may have to define one.

I've havn't used SMF in a long time, so I'm not completely sure, but look around for a 'config' file in your forum's root directory; I'm guessing it would be defined in there.

Hmm, why don't you use phpbb? Is there any particular reason you want to use smf?

Try to re-copy the files over. It is a script error and not an error with your hosting account.
