Resolved Unable to Access site or admin

I can't access my website. I am using your DNS and domain name. I have logged within the last 30 day (if I'm not mistaken.) I know I just did some work on the site on March 31. Can you please help me at least access the files via FTP so I can have them?

You have a forum user account linked to your hosting account. It is kaplante. If you are able to, you should use that instead of the one you are using now, as it is linked and it's easier for helpers to find you.

Your DNS is wrong; it is going to the old xo#.x10hosting.com server, and not your new x13.x10hosting.com server. I'm going to assume that because of this, your new modifications are going to be lost, and you're going to see a version of your site from the beginning of the year.

I would recommend that you log in as kaplante, if possible, and then you can reply in this thread that it is OK to restore a backup from a few weeks ago. An admin can then correct the DNS and also perform a restore, if necessary. Otherwise, simply wait for the DNS to work, then make another thread for the restore, if necessary.

Looks like your account didn't transfer properly, but it was working up until recently due to the fact the old severs was still online. Now that they have been decommissioned this caused your domain to stop working.

I'll restore the account from our most recent backup that was taken just before the old servers was taken offline.

I'll post back when I have done so, should be about 20 minutes if all goes well.

Thanks for your help. I can't log in as kaplante because I don't know the password and I have no idea where the email to reset it is being sent, but it's none of my email addresses. I am still not able to access the website at kaplantesting.x10host.com. Has the DNS been corrected? It is definitely okay to correct the DNS and restore from he most recent backup possible - though it sounds like Anna took care of the restore already.

My bad. Should have checked that, though it should also have updated when I ran the restore.

Didn't really have a choice since the account was kind of broken anyways, otherwise I'd have waited for the OK.

I have corrected the dns, you might need to flush dns cache or await its natural refresh before it works properly on your end.

It's going to r********r@gmail.com

It's not a big deal, it just was difficult for me to find since it's not linked.

@garrettroyce unless you have more powers on the forums then I do, what it says in query is not necessarily what it says in the forum account, the emails can be different. I just ask the user rather then try to investigate :)

@rhunzinger in theory the password should be the same as you use for the sso login page, they would have been set to the same during signup at least.

Thanks everyone. I flushed my DNS cache and everything appears to be working again.
