Unable to connect to Database

As the topic title suggests, my website has been down forever

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to database

I check status.x10hosting.com, but I haven't seen anything updated

I am using localhost as my server, should I be using something else???

If your configuration file has the database host set to "localhost"
Try going to cPanel
1) phpMyAdmin and make sure databases are still there
2) mySQL database tool to remove the user from the database and then add him back, making sure you give him full permissions (the pop up screen has them all turned OFF by default...you have to check the ALL box)

Yeah, I am getting exactly the same error, it connects to the mysql server with the username and password, but it doesnt select the database.

What's wrong? Probably Updates, Server Moving, etc?
