Unable to login to Cpanel

Hi there I created my account recently and it I have received the email saying it is created and I can get to the website with the original index.html but I am unable to login to cpanel. It asked me to link my site more than once which I did and now when I try to login it just says login failed. I tried to click on the activation email again but it says something to the effect of not a valid activation number.

My cpanel login is GH056

Your CPanel login is not the same as your main X10/forum login. Are you sure your CPanel login is GH056? Because based on your url it's probably hewittsmb. You can access CPanel by going here: http://hewittsmb.x10hosting.com:2082 and then use hewittsmb and your password (associated with hewittsmb; not your forum password) to log in.

Thank you for your reply I tried to login using the info you provided but am still getting invalid login request message.

Did you activate it once? If so, are you sure you have the correct password? If not, change it by logging into www.x10hosting.com/login and change it there, That site uses your forum login information.

I can login to the account management screen no problem. I logged in to account management again and verified my username and password and even changed it but it still won't work. When I first logged in it said something about combining my account and asked for a username so I put in my forum username and it sent me an email. I followed the directions on the email and then tried to login with the same unable to login message. I then went back to my account management screen and it told me I needed to combine the accounts again. Then I got another email with the link for the cpanel and clicked on it and am still unable to login. I have tried the link of the confirmation email again but it says that "needs valid verification code"

You shouldn't have put in your forum username, you should have entered your cPanel username... What is your cPanel username? Or, are they the same?

I got it working thank you so much for your quick responses and help. I went back through the emails I got when signing up and saw the same username I was using but it was not in caps which is usually how I use the name. I tried it with lower case and it logged me in to cpanel. Now my next question you said that I shouldn't use my forum name for cpanel. Is there a way to change that because the system is the one that sent me the username I didn't create it.
