Unable to sign into CPanel

I have tried to sign into CPanel for my free hosting acount, both from the x10 hosting free control area, and from cpanel login, and neither will let me in. When I click on the button on the x10hosting web panel to log into cpanel, it asks me for my user and password, and then when I put in my username which is supposed to be 'wildbill' and my x10hosting account password, it keeps asking me for the password and login. can you please tell me what is wrong.

Change your cPanel password through account panel. Learn How-to and then try again. if you still can`t login post back.

I have gotten it now. I was under the impression that when I changed my x10 hosting panel password, it would change my cpanel password. I guess I thought wrong. The cpanel password was still the old password.
