Unable to use cPanel despite 'succesful' login to x10hosting.com

I know this is an Old thread but I have jsut signed up. I have ftp access however CPanel is throwing The Encrypt library requires the Mcrypt extension. Any ideas how to fix?

I got the same problem. I wanted to backup my database and got this error too.
