Undeletable files

Dear admins,

I have installed Joomla and uninstalled it.
However, I cannot remove those files under the public_html

• administrator/
• cache/
• components/
• editor/
• help/
• images/
• includes/
• language/
• mambots/
• media/
• modules/
• templates/

I have tried to remove them in cPanel and FireFTP, but it seems no avail. Every time the FireFTP popout a message and said that 550 : no such directory.

They have been deleted.

Did you by any chance install using fantastico or softaculous? Did you also remove it through that service?
The folders in question had the wrong permissions, changing them to 755 made them deletable.

Yup, I installed joomla via fantastico and uninstalled them via fantastico.
However, when I back to the public_html folder after the uninstallation, those folders remained there and I tried to delete them manually and I got the "No such file or directory" error.
Anyway, thank you so much!
