The only unlimited thing that is free is DEATH...

Now, I want to know what "unmetered" means exactly... if our initially 500 MB website expands to 10 GB suddenly what would happen? Would it be deleted ipso facto or we would receive an "invitation" to upgrade it?

You'll get errors if you still have the 512MB initial quota in place. You'll also get errors if you try to exceed the 50,000 inode limit, regardless of being unmetred or not. There's also a 10MB file size limit. (Anything over 10MB has a limited life of about 4 hours before being auto-deleted. That's enough to create and download or upload and expand archives, etc., but not long enough to keep downloads around.) The inode limit is to do with the backup system as much as anything; most of the rest is to do with preventing abuse and controlling the kinds of sites using the Free Hosting service. It is, after all, intended to give people a voice, not to be an alternative to paying for cheapskates (although it is that, to a quite reasonable degree).

A "Terms of Service" link is found at the bottom of each page. Most of the questions asked are spelled out.
