when your account is set for "Unmetered disk space" there are limits and restrictions on what you can use that space for...What does Unlimited and Unmetered mean by the offer of free hosting?
when your account is set for "Unmetered disk space" there are limits with what you can use that space for...
one limit not said in x10hosting's free-hosting "Terms of Service" (TOS) at --> [ https://www.x10hosting.com/legal/terms-of-service ] is
x10hosting is now enforcing - a hard limit for the number of files a free-hosting account can store - which is 50,000 files or inodes (think folders + files + Email + other types)
They mean the same thing. New accounts start with a 512MB disk space quota, which after meeting qualifications you can ask to have that lifted (so there is no quota, and thus you can store "unlimited" data, within reason). Nothing is truly unlimited (this applies to everywhere you go, not just x10), and there are still some limits in place even if your disk space usage itself is not being tracked/metered; these limits may be found in our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
