I want to know what's up with that.

The certificate used by the location in which my cPanel is doesn't correspond to it; Firefox says it could be that it was a case of a "certificate theft".

...I know I can add it as an exception, but it is disturbing nonetheless, and I really want to know why does it happen at all. Thank you.

And, by the way, it had never happened before today.

X10 is using a self signed certificate in some cases, likely a temporary thing related to server upgrades. A self signed certificate is still a secure SSL certificate but it has not been verified by a third party certificate authority. I would not be at all concerned about a self signed cert from a well known and trusted source such as x10. My cPanel login gave the same browser warning not long ago. I made the exception and accepted the cert.

Thank you for replying.

...it didn't seem as if it was signed by x10, though, and that's what had me worried the most. But I hope that you're right.
