Hello everyone
I have an interesting project if someone is willing to complete it.
I have dial-up, and it is miserable (and I can't upgrade). But that is beside the point.
I am trying to get Linux working with my Winmodem. I am having some troubles with installing the driver and such, and I will give anyone up to $20 (via PayPal) for doing the following.
1) Pick any lightweight live Linux distro. (Preferably under 100 MB)
2) Download, burn, and boot it up.
3) Install this driver. It involves recompiling the kernel and such, so you need the kernel source and headers. You might also need this.
4) If you think you have the driver installed successfully, repackage the distro and give it to me in some way. You might need to have downloaded a distro that includes the mklivecd script or similar.
I would like the end result to be under 200 MB.
PM me if interested.
