Upload Path

Where do I upload my files to my subdomain site? Which is the root folder of my site?

I am trying to install wordpress, I have uploaded it to a few different folders via ftp but I just get an x10 error page which says:

An error has occurred

your www/ or public_html/ is your root folder.
they are both the same, so either one is fine
