Hello

I just uploaded a picture to my new site www.paintedjezebel.com, and the first one went ok.
But after this one, I could not upload any others.
Everything else is working fine.
I compared my public folder with another account, and I notice that some of the files are different, or are not there.
Can you please check and restore my account panel if necessary, so I can try to upload again?
Thank you very much

Hello,

What software are you using to upload the files to your account?

I used dreamweaver to create the site, but I used the upload option from x10. Not the ftp, just the UPLOAD.

Please clarify. Are you saying that you have a second separate free hosting account?

No. But my friend uses x10 as well, and on his account there is a file .htaccess, that I do not see on mine.
I do not know if this file is only for the ftp or has anything to do with the pictures uploading.
The same picture that does not go thru on my account, goes fine on his.
When I upload , the type shows as text/x-generic instead of image/x-generic. :dunno:

Is the extension JPEG (capitalized)? Try changing it to lower case.

.htaccess can be seen if you enable "hidden files".
  1. Log onto cPanel
  2. Click on ' reset all interface settings ' at bottom of page
  3. Open File Manager
  4. There should be a popup, check "Show Hidden Files' and 'Skip this Question'
  5. If .htaccess is not visible now, it is not there.

HI
Thank you very much for your help.
I did the reset and still does not show the .htaccess file.
Is there any other way to recover it?
I renamed the picture and now it shows on the site but the type is still text. Is that a problem?
