uploading a separate image

Hope i ask this correctly, I have a webpage http://digitalart.x10hosting.com
what i want to do is upload a picture but it won't be seen on my webpage
so i can give a url to someone who clicks it and the image alone appears.
I tried this already i uploaded the image to the main section but it did not work
hopefully i explained this correctly. I knwo you can do this because on another webpage i used to have it worked

I uploaded lh1a.jpg to the /public_html folder

at:

http://hal.pcriot.com

there is no link on the page for the image, so the image is hidden

if I type this URL:

http://hal.pcriot.com/lh1a.jpg

I just see the image only

That worked great i guess putting in the public_html made the difference
