Uploading Files to File Manager/ Getting Website Up

Hey guys,

I think I am a little confused about whether or not I can use the file manager in CPanel to upload my html files and CSS style sheet. I've made an account and have a domain name. Then, I deleted the files that were in public.html and uploaded my html and CSS file(s). However, when I go to my domain url the "site is down" page shows up. I don't know what seems to be the problem, could somebody help me out?

1. Clear your browser cache and history. Close browser, open browser.
2. I can see an Index of / on your site
3. If you want http://YourSiteName.elementfx.com/ to automatically show a "homepage", name the file index.html
4. Best practice: use only lower case letters and numerals in file names. No Uppercase or spaces.
5. Your navigation links need to be fixed.
