Uploading files

Hi, I've been told to upload two files to the Root Folder in the File Manager but I can't find anything about this at all. Then I have to set the file permissions to 777. Help! Thank you.

you need to upload files to your /public_html/ folder. The permissions should also be 644 or 755. 777 will cause an issue as the system won't execute files with that permission.
