Using Apple mail - help

I'm relatively new to this, so apologies if this issue is covered somewhere else. (though I have looked)

I'm looking for advice/instructions on how to configure my email account to work with apple mail.

I have been looking at the "Mail Client Configuration" section on cPanel, there is a file - Auto-Configure Mac Mail.app® for IMAP Access

Is this what I want? what should I do with it?

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated,

It does what is says, configures Mail to use an IMAP email server. So yes, just what you want.

There is a problem with the file. After I download it, in its properties the file has no size (0KB) I can unzip it but the new file is 0KB as well and does I cannot do anything with it.

Does anyone know what to do? or could someone try and download it and see what they get?

Try that if it doesn't work I'll dig through my threads, I know there is a specific port that you need to use. I suggest you use google apps for your email so then it doesn't waste your space.

Couldn't get the auto configuration to work but eventually got it manually,
