vebulletin config error

When i try to install vbulletin i get this error

[SIZE=+1]The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

Anyway i thought that i edited the config right because i changed the correct values but i dont know if i changed them to the correct values. So where can i find the correct values. Please give me a step by step guide as i am a total noob to all of this. Thanks in advance.[/SIZE]

As host you need to put 'localhost'.
The MySQL database, MySQL username and password are the ones you've set up on "cPanel > MySQL databases".

ok well what do i put as the database type and database name?

also what is the port for the localhost?
