Video Editing like Photoshop?

Is there a way to crop out a specific section of a video and add it to another one?
Say you crop out just spiderman from the movie and then add him to a different movie and when you press play it plays both?

http://www.adobe.com/au/products/premiere.html combined with http://www.adobe.com/au/products/aftereffects.html and there is no 5min way to do it. But these two products to this sort of stuff the best it is the same stuff that people like people on youtube use to make those sweet fan made films or short films.
