VPN issues

I am not sure if my VPN connection is working or not. What should I be able to see differently? I thought maybe my IP address would show differently, but alas - it says its the same.

I am using Zorin OS 6 ... I setup my network manager correctly, I believe. But I don't notice anything working or not working for that matter.

My router's firewall is off at the moment and I don't have a firewall turned on for my system.

Am I safe to assume that nobody has an answer to this? I understand the service ( and support ) is free, but to have 20 some views to the thread and not even a single reply of some sort ( even having others to confirm they are having similar issues ) is getting a bit hard to accept.
