Webpage not displaying...

I uploaded a simple index.html page with some text to the folder public_html/... but the page does not show up... instead I get a blank page with the text \"Default Web Page\" in the corner... what am I doing wrong?

Your site appears to be working fine for me.

The default web page shows when your account is first created or you just updated your domain. It goes away automatically but might get stuck in browser cache. Clear your browser cache and try loading your website again.

never mind... I changed the permissions to 744 instead of 644...
