Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for providing such a nice service. I really do appreciate it!

As for my problem, I'm not sure if it has something to do with the work you guys are doing on my server (boru) or not. But one of the pages I will describe below actually recommended that I contact you, if I wasn't expecting to see it, which obviously I was not.

Now, let me see if I can explain this clearly, because it's kind of confusing. But you guys are technical whizzes, so you shouldn't have any problems understanding it. My website had been working great ever since I started hosting it here several weeks ago, but then I checked on it randomly earlier today, as I do from time to time, and it was displaying a blue default .cgi page (i.e., "http://www.free-fast-cash-videos.co.cc/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi") when I typed my URL in as normal, with "www." and without an index page named, viz: http://www.free-fast-cash-videos.co.cc.

But here's the kicker, whenever I typed in the URL or clicked on a link without the "www." (like in the member's "Hosting Account Management" area, for example), or with the complete path to the website landing page (i.e., http://www.free-fast-cash-videos.co.cc/go/index.php), then it would go to the proper Web page, until I cleared my dns cache as suggested on the blue .cgi page, and then restarted my PC, that is. Now all I get is the "500 Internal Server Error" page mentioned in the "Title", no matter how I type it in or what page I try to visit.

I hope that made sense to you guys, because beyond being able to describe what happened in words, it doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway, I also hope you can help me out with this issue ASAP, and I thank you very kindly in advance!

Sincerely,

Michael Brock

There are numerous causes for a 500 Internal Server Error, most of them have to do with incorrect file/folder permissions and bad .htaccess files. See here for a list of reasons and how to go about troubleshooting them. If you are unsure of how to troubleshoot this issue after reading that page, post back here so we can give some more clear instructions.
