Website - Loading speed

I created my website using notepad only. Is that the reason why it is loading so slow? Thanks in advance.

Currently it loads quickly for me.

Note that having several Megs of pictures will slow loading time for many visitors.

There are various online tools you can use to help with your site load time, which not only analyze load time but have recommendations as to how you can speed it up. Note that these tools only show the load times from your computer or their test servers; Google Analytics can show you the actual load times experienced by your visitors.
