Hi,

So a week or so ago I registered the account duluthso and the domain duluthso.org to go with it. I put in all the DNS information with my registrar, and on the account management panel here I changed the domain name from duluthso.x10hosting.com to duluthso.org. However, when I attempt to access http://duluthso.org, all I get is a "Problem loading page, Server not found" kind of error message. Same if I try cPanel. However, when I go to http://duluthso.x10hosting.com, everything is fine.

I emailed my registrar about this, and they said "Please ask your webhost to reset your domain on their DNS server as it appears it was not properly registered that is why it is not resolving on their servers."

If that is indeed the case, I'd appreciate it if someone could fix this. If that's not the case, then what's wrong?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is one of those things that's been asked 198291 times or if I'm just being dumb.

I just did a WHOIS lookup and your domain is registered, so that's not the problem.
Did you make sure to have your domain point towards the X10 nameservers? And did you add the domain to X10 (as Parked or Addon)?

I have it pointing to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.

In the account management panel, where it allows you to choose the domain name and has that "check if using your own domain" option, I put in duluthso.org. At the top in the "Hosting Account Information" section, it also has the primary domain and cPanel url as http://duluthso.org and http://duluthso.org:2082... those links just don't happen to actually work.

Am I supposed to make it a parked or add-on domain? I was under the impression that I could just make it my primary domain by the options available in the account panel.

I am having problems doing a WHOIS on duluthso.org Make sure the nameservers have updated, and yes.. you can just change it in the account screen to your primary domain.

Parking your domain in cPanel can solve this issue, I think.

All the best.

According to my whois, i get this: Status:TRANSFER PROHIBITED I believe that would be the problem, like kajasweb said, parking it might help.

Update: When doing a whois, it comes back with this:
Status:TRANSFER PROHIBITED

Which means your registar will not allow you to transfer it. Was this a free domain name?

You have to park the domain in Cpanel,

Login to your cpanel, and go down to domains, click parked domains, then add your domain. Make sure that you gave your domain provider enough time to update the DNS. *usually less than 12 hours.*

This is not an issue related to the registrar. Your account configuration didn't update correctly.
The domain should be fixed now.
