Noticed them the first time yesterday, logged on to my cpanel and saw my space quota had gone red, I knew I had not uploaded anything new, and espeically nothing large.

Opened the filemanager and saw a bunch files named core.xxxxx (where xxxxx is a random number) these files were large, 6-7 mb (a few on 0 as well though)

the origin for these files is a very good question, if it was something with the forumsoft I have there, why didn't the files shoq up earlier? and why not on another site I have it hosted? And why has no one else reported this at their support forum if it was the soft? I'd assume it would appear for others as well and not only me. These things makes me think there could be something else causing it. If it is the forum soft it is a serious matter that the developers should know of asap.

Hopefully you can see something in a log somewhere what is going on.

It is from a PHP Script crashing, the core file is for debugging. Just remove it.
