I've searched about this and nobody asks (afaik) for php 5.3 but php 5.2 is no longer maintained so will you stick to 5.2.17? It might be difficult to upgrade all servers but I've noticed you just moved all servers and updated things (I dunno what) but not for PHP?

btw do you run php as cgi or mod_php?

thanks in advance

PHP is run as mod_php and PHP isn't easy to update with cPanel, it's how all the config files are set up and due to the fact cPanels files aren't all that easy to modify.

Actually,

PHP is run as mod_suphp (a form of CGI with some extra security features). I am unaware of any plans at this time to upgrade to 5.3, but they'll get announced if it happens.

(@frozen: upgrading PHP via cPanel is actually pretty easy -- it's the aftermath of thousands of potentially broken accounts that's the royal P.I.T.A.)
