Hi, I had my website deleted before for a month of inactivity. So this time I've been making a point to visit the cPanel every 5 days, even if I don't work on anything. However, I just received an email reminding me to visit to prove I wasn't inactive. Which got me worried. So what exactly do I have to do to count as activity? Or is it just a reminder I'd get no matter what?

Thanks

Hey guys, yeah that's where I've been logging in. So do you think I just got that email as a reminder? Not because I needed it?

No, you would have needed it. Monthly reminders are not sent to all members, but if you leave it long enough you will get one. Emails are queued, though, so you may have logged in after your email address was added to the list, but before the mail was sent. (I've never received a reminder, but I have the horrible habit of trying to log in in every few days at most to see if the system is working in response to other people's support threads.)

Please keep in mind that the cPanel (where you manage your website) and the Account Portal (where you manage your account) are two entirely different things. Only logins to the portal (https://x10hosting.com/portal) count.

The email reminders only get sent if you are actually considered inactive by the system, they usually go out immediately unless your own email provider is doing something to them -- I haven't heard about any issues with email delays from the main x10hosting website. If you are receiving these reminders, make sure that you are actually a) logging into the Account Portal and not cPanel, b) logging into the correct account.
