I have read the page linked to at http://x10premium.com/?r=x10hosting but found that it doesn't tell me a whole lot. I am the technical specialist (IE: webmaster) for this site, and would like to know exactly what I would be getting if I were to ask my sponsor to put forward some money for this small project; which right now only has expenses of USD$15/year.
While x10Premium would not add a whole lot to those expenses, I still need to make a proposal for funding; no matter how small an increase it is. So I'd like to know (technically) what the plan gives me more than the free plans, or just what it gives me in general.
Currently I see that it does this:
- Less crowded servers; compared to the free hosting, x10Premium appears to host only 5% of the same number of clients per server, which would be an upside for burstable resources, load balancing, etc... but are the servers here just as powerful as the free hosting ones?
- 99.9% SLA gaurenteed uptime. No explanation needed here, just an industry standard.
- Backups. Well, what do you mean by that? Are they hosted backups on the server itself? Do I get access to them, or is it just your servers backing themselves up incase the harddrives die? Or do you just enable the backup feature(s) in cPanel for me?
I also have some questions regarding this:
- Do I get any new / more features in cPanel? Such as those I would get if I was running my own cPanel installation on a dedicated server (minus of course SSL certification, SSH TLS key generation, WHM, and some other dedicated-server functionality that one would not expect to see in shared hosting.)
