One million pageviews in how much time?
It depends on what type of site you are running as well as how large a "page" is. In addition, it also depends on whether or not all those pageviews are at one time or spread out over a long span of time.
For most sites, 1 million page views in a very short period of time is probably way too much for any shared hosting, free or paid, to handle.
