What is a 'robot' in the 'Members Online Now' section?

I assume 'member' is someone logged in, and a 'guest' is not logged in.

Apparently a "visitor" who the forum software has decided is a "bot", ie an automated web crawler for Google, Bing, Baidu or some other search engine.

Guest: A person who just visits the site
Member: Person like you, Angus or me with an actual account to post, comment etc
Staff: Dead-i etc to regularly answers questions
Bot: Google, Bing etc are crawlers or spiders that occasionally visits the site to index the site
