You should be able to use 'localhost'.

Are you trying to access the database from an outside program? Remote access is blocked.

What sort of error message are you getting? There are a lot of other things that can go wrong besides the host name.

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

• Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
• Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
• Are you sure that the database server is running?

When I went to your site a bit ago, there was a screen talking about a missing wp-config.php

Now there is the normal fresh install WordPress page.

Is there still a problem?
