What is the Best VG console?

I started this thread to debate the best video game console ever.

I think the best console for single player is the PS2 because it has a wide selection of games, useful controller arrangement. However I think the PS2 is useless for multiplayer gaming.

The best console for multiplayer I think is the N64, because it was fun to play at a parties (esp playing Golden Eye).

I agree with you that PS2 has mostly the best SinglePlayer games! But it's Network Play is not that great.
I never had an N64 but I played Goldeneye and it was an amazing game!

But I think that Xbox is the best due to it's great Xbox Live multiplayer!

XBox live does sound great, though I haven't tried it out...... yet

I was thinking of doing that, but I decided to keep it to consoles that have been relased. Why don't you start a topic for future consoles youself?

I have used PS2, PS1, GAMEBOY, Computer, and the XBOX. I mostly like the PS2 but the XBOX has Halo 2.

xbox and pc!
pc can play tons of diff games
and xbox has the halo series

i dont find any ps2 games even remotely interesting

PS2 games seem to blend together after a while, nothing really too unique. I voted PC, best multiplayer games.

I agree with that but I also like Gamecube for the fact it dosn't take up too much space and that the computer is the best for multiplayer because you can have more then what the Xbox may have. Golden Eye RULES!
