What is the mySQL server name?

The script I am trying to install defaults to "localhost", but it will not work with this setting...

localhost works for me.

what error do you get if any?
did you create a database and database user in cPanel?

"localhost" works perfectly.
Maybe you didn't put correct your MySQL username, password or user, or you didn't gave the user the permissions so modifiy the database in cPanel.

Please post the error you're getting.
