I used PHPNuke a long time ago and then changed to XOOPS, I couldn't decide which was better if I'm honest. Probably nuke but I think xoops was more suited to my needs at the time. Although I have heard that Joomla is alot better, so I dunno what to say.

heeh.
I prefer e107 and wordpress because of websites I've seen that make it look amazing. If anyone can show me a Jamoola site and it's good I'll give you a rep :]

Personally I like Nucleus the best. Compact, easy to install, simple to modify. Although PHP-Nuke really is the best out of all the CMS available, it's really designed for large sites, sites that can't handle their load anymore. It's more of a community portal in my opinion.

The only problem with PHPNuke is that the archive is 24MB compressed, that is a LOT comparing to other CMS'es

I would have to say Joomla, it's extremely flexible as in it's open source so it's easy to fully customize plus it's got a great user interface, it's used for a lot of professional sites!
