I've got to say, fantasy is great. I like it because it's not reality -- you can make up your names, you can make up your concepts, and it's generally very well written. Of course, then again, there are the things that are really badly written. But overall, I like fantasy for the freedom it gives the writer when building the world (no sticking to modern-day names, no sticking to history), and then the world that is built from that freedom.
Next up would probably be adventure (or what I call 'mellow adventure', as the case may be) -- things like Out Of My Mind, The Rules of Survival, and Impossible Things. They're all good books because they tell a story...not a huge collection of fighting scenes and cheesy romance like some other books.
