I do believe that the period for suspension of inactivity is 2 weeks, but i am unsure on how vacational users work, it might be possible to have your account set to 'vacation mode' if you are going away or something.

You have to login (not post) once every 2 weeks or you will be suspended. After that, there is a 10 day grace period and then your account is terminated. If you are going on vacation and wouldn't have Internet access for longer then this, you would need to find someone you trust to login for you.

But if it is someone you trust that is just loging on and not posting they won't know and even if they find out it does not matter as they are not posting.

Yes, but whether they find out or not, it's against the ToS, this means that if you do this, and they ban your account, it's your fault...and you probably won't get it unbanned, considering they stated to use this hosting you must be the only person, using your account.

Probably easier to contact Corey, and let him know you will be inactive for a while, maybe he can then set an exception to your account instead of risking getting it suspended for violating TOS.

Having someone log into your forum account is fine. Using your hosting account is not okay.

So if you go away for more then two weeks without internet, have a friend log in to the forums for you.

In addition to what Corey said and the reason why it's safe to log into a forum account and not a hosting account.

We now have a script that runs. This script catches people creating multiple accounts. So if you log into the forums account you are ok. Now if you log into that persons hosting account and you also have an x10hosting account you will both then be suspended for having multiple accounts.

So a word to the wise. It's safe to keep each others accounts active by using the forums. Logging into each others hosting accounts will get you suspended.

I just thought i would set you straight on that. :)
