vBulletin rocks!

hundreds and hundreds of addons, mods etc and easy to handle and manage!

If you're planning to go for something, then choose vBulletin, it ables you for easy management of large masses of members, is more faster and then, you can always upgrade it.

I use SMF2 beta, It uses a very powerful central system which allows easy editing, it also has many mods and good themes. SMF 1.14 is also good but the new SMF 2 forums software has many great new features.

Why free is best!

SMF - free, powerful, easy to manage.

I can relate to tittat though, the forum system built into e107 CMS is quite nice.

Hmm, I really have to try SMF. I think phpBB3 is maybe too powerful.
Plus I've seen really cool SMF MODs on others' forums.

vBulletin is nice, versatile, and good for whatever size of community you're running it.
