Which directory do I upload to?

Hello,

My first question is which directory do I need to upload my files to (my index.html) file so that my site can be viewable?

/home/{username}/public_html/ is viewable as yoursite.x10hosting.com
/home/{username}/public_html/folder/ is yoursite.x10hosting.com/folder/

After you upload the file, if you look at the site and it doesn't change, clear your browser's cache. Only files named index or default will automatically load when you view your site unless you explicitly type the name of the file, ie yoursite.x10hosting.com/file.html

to keep it simple, you need to upload your files to the map public_html. (you will see this folder when you login with your ftp client)

www is not actually a folder, it is similar to a shortcut on Windows.
