Which is the MySQL adress

I´m having problems, when i try to install the web, because when i try to put the MySQL database adress, writing localhost doesn´t work, and when people register themselves, the validation of the register and any other mail sent by the web doesn´t work.I have installed this Forum system in other hosting, andthe only diference between this hosting and the others is thatin the others i had, they gave me the adresses of MySQL (not Localhost)Please i need this information so i can beginn using this hostingThank you very muchPablo Villarejo

The only address you can use is the literal string "localhost". Everything else is prohibited/blocked.
