Both, it's irritating when you only work with keyboard.
and work with mouse is impossible (except if you open up On-Screen Keyboard, Start -> All programs -> Accessories - > Accessibility - > On-Screen Keyboard, there you go lol then it is possible) for me and I also have to type my account password to login into windows and then it's not possible for me to open any programs

And I don't think any one here works with only one device nor you do.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just spam

I like using with the keyboard, but I don't think I can do without the mouse, but I am learning to reduce the workload on the mouse. Using Linux shell is a good way of doing everything using the keyboard...;)

Yeah, that's pretty much the situation. I could live without a mouse but couldn't live without a keyboard. Key commands, as well as general tab and typing, are extremely important to my productivity.

If I had to pick either keyboard only or mouse only, it would definitely not be easy. lol
At work, I couldn't do without the keyboard, so I'd pick that. At home though, I'd really need the mouse, so I'd pick that.
I function best when I have both available :) I wouldn't last long without either of them. lol

I don't think a computer can start without a keyboard, so that makes it by far more essential then a mouse.

But for real use, the mouse can do anything the keyboard those, including typing (with a virtual keyboard software)... it can only lack the speed of a keyboard for certain things...

Mouse; I installed the Mouse Gestures extension for Firefox, and it works wonders! New tab = right click drag up, refresh = right click drag down, forward/back = right click drag right/left

I really prefer a mixture of both mouse & keyboard [and occasionally the tablet.]

Well, I chose the mouse simply because there have been times when I am tired and lazy and don't want to move my fingers around and type or anything, so I just rest my head on my arm and do everything by mouse.

You can basically do anything with either. It is just slower when you have one. The OSK is helpful if you can't use a keyboard for some reason, and there is a tool for the mouse that will let you control your cursor with the num pad. So either way you can work without one, but it will slow everything down for you a great deal.

Of course on a laptop what does it matter ;)

I could probably survive without my mouse (not like I'd be willing to stop using it, though) but having no keyboard would get terribly irritating over time, because Windows' on-screen keyboard makes me far slower and is simply an eyesore.

I could survive without either - as long as I had a tablet PC. :D

But you can't enter passwords without a mouse (not really anyway)

I'm failing to see how you need a 'mouse' to enter passwords. Other than the log on screen, you can enter any password without a mouse. Thanks to various keyboard actions and shortcuts you can alt + tab to any window you need, hit tab to cycle through inputs(and links if you are on a webpage), then when you get to the field for a password, simply type it in. Computers were designed to function while missing a counter part. While it does slow productivity, it is still possible to do everything you would with both, only with one.

I chose keyboard because I know most of the keyboard shortcuts on Windows. It's easy to use and it doesn't stick all the time! My mouse sucks... Haha. :)

I like a keyboard better because of the shortcuts, I use them more often than I use my mouse. Plus a wireless mouse tends to run outta batteries faster than a wireless keyboard.

A computer is useless without a mouse! My keyboard can do everything a mouse can do and more. Though i would prefer to use both anyway.
