why BLACK laptop keyboard?

why not light grey or something more suitable. To be seen in subdued light. In a train for example

You may purchase many colors and/or color combinations of keyboards. A few years back, keyboards were light grey or ecru, then the trend became the present black keyboards. One point of thinking may have been, that the black keyboards do not appear to be as dirty as keyboards really are from natural oils and grime from finger contact.
