Why does my site keep getting hit with error messages?

I not sure where to post this, so I guess I'll post it here.

I've uploaded my site here, and bought a domain to redirect towards the site. At first, everything worked fine.

However, I notice that the majority of the time I try to get onto the site, it's constantly giving me, my friends and other visitors error messages. It seems to sometimes work, sometimes not.

I don't think it's my programming (I could be wrong, but I've used HTML for some time, and it doesn't usually fail on me), but I just can't figure it out.

Can anyone help me please?

The redirect is http://www.richardandrew.co.uk
The x10 URL is http://www.richardandrew.exofire.net
(both will take you to the x10 URL)

(Of course, I'll post this, and then it'll work fine for everyone who clicks on it :p)

Works for me :p

There are ongoing problems with the free servers. They are getting better, but all the bugs are not resolved yet. If you need 99.9% uptime, you can move to paid starting at $20 USD / year or $6 USD / mo and up depending on what features you would like. I just moved on to paid with the $20 / yr package, and I highly recommend it.

The site works for me too. If we knew what the error message was, maybe we could help, but html should not cause any sort of error loading the page (php is a different story). If ther is a newtork timeout (or any varient of this error) or a 500 internal server error, it is most likely the server.

Hmm, I hope it isn't the servers, because if they are constantly being hit with problems, I guess I'll just have to move my account elsewhere. I would consider paying yearly, but I've not really researched into that aspect yet.

Thanks for your help.

The servers are getting much better than they have been recently. There has been a lot of chaos on the free servers and some of it is still getting straightened out. If you can handle some down time now and again, which every free server has, then X10 has the best hosting.

I've seen hosts with better uptime, but none of them have even half the features of X10. So, you have to decide what's right for your website :)

Just for reference, there are a lot of users here that overstate the downtime on the free servers.

My site is on the free "Cossacks" server and I have been tracking the uptime for about a month now just to see exactly how well it performs.

It seems to hover at about 96.5% uptime on average, but this depends on peak times. For a free server, I would say thats pretty damned good!

Definitely true. Don't listen to the whiners ;)

Whining? Honestly. I was merely wondering why sometimes my site doesn't load. I've never had this issue before, and I've managed several websites in my time.

Not you :)

There are people who sign on to the forums twice a week to complain about the downtime.
