Why has FrontPage support been dropped?

I have tried to install the FrontPage Extensions using the cPanel and it tells me they have been installed by the status at the bottom of the page still says they are uninstalled.

I searched around here and is it right that FP support has been dropped for free accounts?

Can anyone recommend any other free hosting sites that support FP?

FrontPage is old and even Microsoft doesn't support it anymore. We haven't supported FP on free hosting accounts for years (and that's even if we supported it at all to begin with). You can still upload your website via FTP on FrontPage, you just won't be able to use the server extensions. Otherwise, you can grab a newer program such as Microsoft Expression Web or Adobe Dreamweaver.

And, we are not allowed to discuss other hosting providers here, so you will need to search for one yourself.
