Why is Google Chrome freezing?

Hey everybody, im using cPanel, and when I look at my file manager I right click the file, then go to code-edit, and modify my codes from there. Well, on Google Chrome it always freezes whenever I copy, paste, or delete codes. It sits there for a while and then works. But on firefox, it works fine. But, i really like chrome! Can someone help me on this?

How big is the file? Since the editor is JS based and is running on your computer, a huge file, when edited and having to re-display, can bog a browser down. FF might handle that part of JS better.
