why so many problems with free accounts?

When I was a paid account 9.95 a month, I never had issues. Now, since for the moment I am free, there is all kinds of issues, I am only running the live help program you have, was doing fine, now I get a sql error, was I using to many resources? I dont mean to sound like a ass but ever since I went "free" the service has sucked. UPDATE: Now its working, hell maybe its my machine, I doono, any help would be nice, Thanks

Yeah SQL's getting hammered with requests so every once in a while the connections drop; we're still working on that. Most of the guys abusing it majorly are getting suspended too, which helps

Also free isn't a substitute for paid.
Alternatively theres an exclusive club, Illuminated, thats a single payment of $60 and it gives you hosting for 5 years. It receives less abuse so it should not be down as much, though it has no SLA or guarantee of uptime as far as i can tell(Its still grouped with the Free Hosting)

Thanks for your input, when I go back to paid, I will more than likely just get the monthly full paid thing, thats what I had before and it worked great, never had any problems. If I can just get my site going and keep it going to make some $$ I will go paid. Getting tough to consolidate my sites, would much rather put up a paid one and put all on there. Thanks again.
