Why there aren't Internet Passports?

Why is there no internet passports?......because we are not a communist country and we allow and support the free speech of all. Yes people abuse that fact but there are plenty of people all over the world that make the internet a great source of knowledge and entertainment.

I do not think you fully understand what the OP's intent of using the passport would be. It would not deter you from accessing information that is currently freely available, only inform others whom you are dealing with of a malicious past.

In the end, several groups have attempted to start internet passports. Many websites accept facebook logins and myspace logins instead of requiring your own login. Other kinds of "passports" exist such as paypal. However, no full internet passport is feasible because many websites would simply ignore it - specifically those that do not require logins. While others would not want the passport system and would either circumvent it or completely ignore it. There is just too much variety on the internet for something like a passport to exist on the internet.

It's one big place, there are no limits. There is no real governing body. While most users abide by the recommendations, you don't have to, and you are under no obligations to do so.
